kindle Fire HD

Using tablet's I think has had advantages to our class, like drawing and taking notes, however I do not see them in my opinion being terribly useful, I feel maybe using Apple Ipad's would be more useful purely because they have more learning access, I feel on the tablet I had I had a small limit to what I could do, and some of the stuff wasn't quite as accessible as I'd of liked, for example I was unable to access my animations on the kindle fire HD as it lacked adobe air and would not download. the Kindle has small advantages, but I feel it does not give enough knowledge or ability to effect classrooms on a while. I feel they could be useful in small areas like taking notes, but not on a whole to education.

I had been unable to use dropbox effectively, and not been able to use it for drawing as an advantage, i hadn't found it really any use except for maybe keeping mobile notes and networking, I haven't really found the kindle fire HD beneficial to my education, and find myself not bringing it as it lacks any purpose for my work, as I find computers much more accessible. 

Personal Advancement

as previously stated I haven't really found the tablet great for advancement, apart from keeping notes, and personal entertainment during strenuous hours of waiting, i.e trips. I understand it could be of use to others willing to put money into it to buy additional tools to advance into drawing techniques and so on, but from core use I havent found it useful.

Device Problems

I haven't had any issues with the device itself, apart from its inability to load apps I have created, or games I have created, its battery life is very powerful and lasts quite a while compared to other mobile devices, and have found it to be fast and effective.

Would I buy it?

I wouldn't buy the kindle fire as its original purpose was for books, I don't find its market at all useful for educational purposes, only for personal purposes, like books, games, and entertainment, I found the amazon market lacked anything particularly useful, and found many of its app's to have little use if any at all. some apps even charging money for a poor use. I would much rather go for an IPAD as they contain a much broader market, and is educationally accessible.

Kindle Fire HD Update

A quick update on the kindle fire HD, as previously stated, I haven't had a great deal of success with the kindle fire HD I have found it to be rather useless in class, as it doesn't retain many features that I in particular use, I find myself using it at home to access email and information relating to class activities, which is much quicker and much more convenient compared to in class use.

as it stands currently I continue to use the kindle fire at home for activities related to home use, and information access, however, I currently do not have the need to use it in class, as all my workloads can be done on the class PC's.
